Finally found a chance to come and blog~
Have been schooling and schooling in the weekdays.
And communicating with aliens in the weekends.
There's 3 aliens. Biochem, Organic Chem and E-Maths.
Biochemical Science is starting to make sense to me~ ^^
Engineering Maths is like some day make sense, some day it doesn't.
Organic Chemistry...something I really looked forward to studying.
In the end, it turns out to be a complete alien to me...
It's been more than a week and my flu hasn't gone yet.
Didn't eat my medicine cos they cause me to go zzz-ing.
Can't afford to miss even a minute of my lecture~ =(
So only ate my medicine at night.
Random interesting things that happened over the weekdays...
1) Was half way through Biochem lesson at the science lab on Wednesday. Then someone from my class mentioned that she could smell gas. Then the teacher went to check the bunsen burner, etc to make sure it's off already. It was all off but the gas smell was getting stronger. So the teacher asked us to hurry pack our stuff and get out of the science lab. At the door, the smell was super strong~ We were shoo-ed off so didn't know what happened after that.
2) Decided to join Chinese Orchestra instead of Symphony Orchestra cos 3 aliens is more than enough, I don't wanna add more to it. Went for the orientation with Cai Juan. The conductor said something that made me so pissed off. Roar. He said that the New York people invited NYPCO to perform at New York this year but he rejected because in his opinion, he thinks that CO should go to Chinese countries ._. Was super duper ultra excited for nothing T_T And out of all the people who signed up for CO, 7 played Sheng before. So there's an audition/interview section. Lol. Want play Sheng still need to pass the audition then can play o.o Will be choosing instrument on Tuesday =D

Ahh. Had always thought that polytechnic's life would be much carefree.
I'm so super wrong. On the first day of school, I'm already stress up~ T_T
All the modules are totally strangers to me.
There's Biochemical Science and the first topic is very Biology.
Super confused since I've got no Biology background.
There's oso Engineering Mathematics. Didn't know that it's similar to A Maths.
And again, I've not taken A Maths in my secondary school life.
So it's confusing for me. The tutor explain really fast la =(
And my mathematics has always being really bad D=
Lastly, Organic Chemistry. Was really looking forward to learning this.
But to my horror, it's so freakin different from the secondary school's one.
Ahh. Everything seems like alien language to me!~~
Bought the lab coat, safety googles, gloves and safety shoes~
$35. The shoes is really fugly =X
And we were told that we had to wear long jeans/pants in the lab.
Need to get more jeans~ =D
On Friday, went to NYP's Club Crawl (aka CCA Fair) with friends.
Went to ask for more information about both Chinese Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra.
Both full orchestra pratices falls on the same day.....and on the same time =(
So meaning that I have to choose from one of them T_T Still haven't decided yet.
Argh. Then on Friday, I suppose to go back to my secondary school cos there's Speech Day.
But I fell sick =( Horrible flu, severe sore throat, a bit of fever.
So decided not to go. Sad =( Went to see the doctor. The queue was super loooonnnggg.
Waited for 3 whole hours for my turn~ =(
Oh and I saw him two days in a row at two different venues.
When can he take a second look at me? D=

Went to get Valerie's birthday present with Grace on Friday ^^
Took a really really really looooong time to decide what to get for her.
We were in the shop for like around one hour?
Finally decided on the doggie mug. I want one too! xD
Then went for her birthday BBQ yesterday.
Spent like half an hour just to walk from down town east to the BBQ pit.
We (Evelyn, Grace and Hui Min) walked from pit 1 to pit 49 -_-
We reached kinda early though cos only Valerie and her family members were there.
After eating for a little while, went to the huge rocks~ =D
Grace and Hui Min were too high I think. They took lots of photos xD
Then went back to eat again. Something happened.
I accidentally ate the mutton satay. (Last year, I promised myself never ever to eat mutton ever again...cos I like goats.) I was kinda "excited" about the satay that I just happily take it from Valerie's hand without thinking. And delivered into my mouth without thinking oso.
Had a small bite. Then I realise something was not right. So asked what meat was that. And Valerie was like "Mutton." Although the piece of meat wasn't even 1 cm but I felt real bad! I had a sudden urge to dig out the meat....but I'm in a public place...
Gosh! My deepest apology to the goat. I'm so so so sorry!!!! T_T
Mood went down after realising I just swallowed a piece of mutton....
Anyway, just now went out with mummy =D
Went to get a haircut at Century Square's Storm~
After that, decided to head home. But a top caught my eye!
So went into Mila and bought it~ =p
Also bought a pair of flip flop at Isetan cos mines worn out already.
Tomorrow is the commencement of semester 1!~ =)

Went to school for my notebook configuration yesterday =D
Met up with Siew Guat and Alvina at the MRT station.
Before that, went to make my Ez-Link card. I used the photo that is like 2 years ago? xD
We were late for around 25 minutes =X Luckily, we were able to keep up.
After connecting to the internet, chatted with Evelyn and Hui Min via MSN~
Had to download some stuff. Two things caught my eye.
One of them is Engineering Mathematics.
Hmm. I've got a bad feeling about this =( As soon as I see it, I was like "o_o?????".
The other one is Organic Chemistry!!! ^^
My favourite Chemistry topic in the whole universe =p
Back in secondary school, we had three sub-topics.
1) Alkanes and Alkenes
2) Alcohol
3) Carboxylic Acids
Now in poly, there's ten sub-topics.
1) Alkanes and Cycloalkanes
2) Alkenes and Alkynes
3) Aromatics
4) Alkyl Halides
5) Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers
6) Aldehydes and Ketones
7) Carboxylic Acids
8) Esters and Amides
9) Amines and Amino Acids
10) Stereochemistry
Erm. Wonder if this is a good thing or a bad thing >_<
Anyway, by choosing to be a Chemical & Pharmaceutical Technology (CPT) student, I should be prepared to face the challenge!!!

SCL Orientation

I have been having a huge mixture of mood recently.
Had my Orientation on the 2nd and 3rd of April 2008.
Got to meet my new classmates ^^ as well as my mentor.
Shall summarise my orientation~
On the 1st day, got to know which class I'm posted to.
And that is CPTo8o4 =D
Cai Juan's not in the same class as me.
Also got to know my mentor. Mr Kelvin Robert ^^
Listened to a short speech and watched a little performance.
After that, went back to the auditorium where we had some ices breaker games with our classmates and 2 mustangs.
For lunch, went to McDonalds. Can't remember what happened after that =x
Also headed down to the sports hall to have some games.
One of the games was "Form the longest line with anything on you".
Lol. Put our necklaces, footwear, shoe laces, watch, etc...and even our own bodies onto the floor.
Hmm. Pretty fun and a bit tiring cos we were like running around in some of the games.
On the 2nd day, the beginning was kinda boring.
In the afternoon, went into our classrooms to decide on our performance.
Lol. One of my classmate acted out Mas Selemat hurting his leg and escaping from the detention centre.
Some acted as the people in the toilet, the police, the worker... and I was one of the saviors.
Suppose to catch "Mas Selemat" and smack him but he ran too fast so the part was cut off -_-
Also got to watch the performances from the other classes....and from the mustangs.
Needless to say, the performance by the mustangs was the most entertaining of all.
So funny~ Laughed and laughed~ Haha xD
However, towards the ending of the Orientation, was feeling emo due to some reasons....
The mustangs told us that we will recieve a surprise at the end of the day.
Went to the Theatre of the Arts at around 7pm and our surprise came...
We had to drink up a cup of unknown green-brown-slimmy-disgusting mixture...or else we won't be considered as one of the SCL students.
It taste really bitter. And they added something in the drink that we had to chew. Wonder what was that @_@
After finishing the whole cup of drink, we were allowed to go home after collecting our orientation package.

Looking forward to the start of the semester =)
While on Friday, headed down to NYP again for the notebook roadshow with Grace.
Mr Kelvin Robert told us that we NEED to get a laptop.
Bought the Acer TravelMate 4720.
